Coming in July,
2008
A Girl, a Boy, and Three Robbers
Hannah and her sidekick, Brandon, return in these new adventures about vampires,
art thieves, and puppets that take on lives of their own. Hannah Dufrane hates to see a
good book end, so she just continues the stories by creating games about them. TV fan
Brandon Russell gets dragged into Hannah's plans. This time around, her plans involve
saving her cat, Buttercup, from three young robbers.
Though is Buttercup ever really in danger?

A Girl, a Boy, and a Monster Cat |
A Girl, a Boy, and a Monster Cat
Hannah Dufrane is the creator, director, and star of the games she makes up to
go along with the many, many books she reads. Brandon Russell is her unwilling playmate.
He never knows what part he will have to play when he arrives at Hannah's house. A spy? A
cave explorer? A dinosaur hunter? The only thing he can be sure of is that Buttercup,
Hannah's large and not very attractive cat, will be cast in a more heroic role.
A little heroism is needed when Hannah's family gets a new neighbor.

Happy Kid! |
Happy Kid!
Bert P. Trotts Middle School is the gateway to hell," Kyle tells his mother
the night before he starts seventh grade. But she believes he's just being negative, a
problem she's sure can be fixed with a self-help book that will guide Kyle toward a
happier life. As if anyone could have a happy life at Bert P. Trotts.
Kyle agrees to read the book when his mom promises to pay him for it. If he has
to put up with super-difficult accelerated classes, not having any friends, a troublemaker
reputation because of a huge misunderstanding, being ignored by the beautiful girl he's in
love with and taking standardized tests that will affect his entire future, he may as well
do it with a few bucks in his pocket.
At least that's what he thinks until he suspects that the book might have a plan
of its own

The Hero of Ticonderoga |
The Hero of Ticonderoga
Thérèse LeClerc is the only child in her sixth grade class who doesnt
want to do her oral report on Ethan Allen, the local Revolutionary War hero. But having to
do something she doesnt want to do is exactly the kind of thing that happens to
Tessy all the time. So, of course, she should have expected the substitute teacher to hand
her the research project everyone else wants. What Tessy finds out about the old boy could
make one fine narrative. And she decides shes just the one to write it.
