Yes! This is the official website of Gail Gauthier, children's author and blogger. You'll find standard information to your right and news below. You can also visit my blog, Original Content, where you can read about time management for writers, environmental books for young readers, children's and YA author appearances in Connecticut, and many other things that may grab your interest the way they grabbed mine.

Here’s what’s new:

Connecticut Schools: My school presentation descriptions now include information on the Connecticut Core Standards they support.

Cybils Awards: I am serving as a Round Two judge for the 2015 Cybils Awards in the middle grade fiction category.

Writing Strategies: I'm preparing a series of writing strategy workshops for grades 3 through 8 for presentation in a Connecticut school later this winter.  We'll have more on that in a few months.

The Hero of Ticonderoga: You can watch my presentation, The Hero of Ticonderoga, given at the Ethan Allen Homestead in Burlington, Vermont on June 15th. It was taped for closed circuit TV and is available on that station's website.

Time Management Workshop for Adults: The Situational Time Management for Writers workshop that I conducted at the 2013 New England Society of Children's Writers and Illustrators Conference is now available for other groups. You can read a description of the program and see a couple of sample slides on my Presentations page.

Traditional vs. Self-publishing: I now have a talk available on the differences between the traditional and self-publishing experience. A description with sample slides is available on my Presentations page.

Preparing for NaNoWriMo: I am preparing presentations for organizations sponsoring National Novel Writing Month events in late summer and fall.  The first elementary school program was conducted for five classes of fourth graders in November.  Preparing for NaNoWriMo will also be available for adults.  You can read a description and see sample slides at my Presentations page.

Saving the Planet & Stuff eBook: Saving the Planet & Stuff is now available as an eBook for Kobo as well as Kindle and Nook. View the trailer on our updated Saving the Planet & Stuff page. Watch Original Content for info on blog coverage of the book and my experience promoting a backlist title.

Speaking of eBooks: My last three books are available as eBooks published by G. P. Putnam's Sons.

Original Content: The "Time Management Tuesday" feature continues. In addition, I maintain a monthly calendar of children's literature events in Connecticut.

As always, keep those emails coming. It is absolutely the fastest way to reach me.
