site was created for young students stuck writing reports about authors as well as folks
like myself who enjoy surfing the net looking for stuff about books and writers. Look

Happy Kid! Book Discussion: Happy Kid! will be the subject of a summer book club discussion on July 16th at MotherReader. I'll be be answering reader questions at that site at some point in July. A Girl, a Boy, and Three Robbers: The blog tour conducted to celebrate A Girl, a Boy, and Three Robbers' publication on July 3rd is now over. But you can catch up on all the interviews by visiting the following sites:
The Hannah and Brandon Stories: Check out the new Hannah and Brandon area on this site. A Girl, a Boy, and Three Robbers: The Junior Library Guild has presented Three Robbers with its Premier Selection Award. A Girl, a Boy, and a Monster Cat: A Girl, a Boy, and a Monster Cat has been included on the Kansas State Reading Circle 2008 Recommended Reading List Happy Kid!: Happy Kid! has been nominated for the Georgia Children's Book Award and Oklahoma's Sequoyah Book Award. Happy Kid! has also gone into a second printing. Attention for Vermont Books: A Guide to Fiction Set in Vermont for Children & Young Adults was published this spring by Vermont Humanities Council and includes both The Hero of Ticonderoga and Saving the Planet & Stuff. What I'm Working on Now: Maybe some essays. Other Writing: Literary Mama named Mom Memory one of its 2007 Favorites in the Creative Nonfiction category. Interviews: VerbSap and the children's Literature monthly The Edge of the Forest have posted Gail Gauthier interviews.
